Hot Keys
X Northern Captain (XNC) - filemanager for Linux and X Window System. It was constructed as Norton Commander clone filemanager for X, so it has the same ideology as 'nc'. Two panels with highlighted directory listings give You simple and easy way to manipulate files on Your system. Bookmark feature allow You to remember Hot Directories and quick changing to it. Virtual File System can manipulate files in popular archieve formats as easy as files on normal Disk FS. MultiWindow Editing and Viewing System (IVES); built in xterminal (rxvt 2.20); configurable menu; exention association and execution; processes information; disk and memory summary information; QuickScan Directories and files info; Drag 'n' Drop for files manipulation; Hot keys, colors, sizes, fonts and panels layout easy customization with XNCSetup make XNC very usefull tool.

XNC can do many operations with files on panels such as select/deselect files, recursive copy/move/delete, changing attributes/owners etc... see commands for details. Any operation has assigned accelerated hot key for activate just with one press. How to define your own see Hot Keys.
DnD protocol allow easy copy/move/delete/execute files, add or remove Bookmarks and so on with mouse clicking and dragging...
Archieve File System (part of VFS) can entering into archieves using assigned archivator and easy copy/delete and even execute files as on normal FS. Multiple entering to subarchieves in the same simple way also supported. All these operations are transparent to the user and require only begining activation and sometimes confirmation.
